Hi there fabulous beings beyond belief,
Continuing with our bi-weekly updates, we're here to announce that the work on the QUEERZ! books and game system is finally over! Tomorrow layout will begin on the final, and largest book -- the Creator's Guide! We also completed a tune-up of the game system as a whole and added some features that we thought were necessary to make it a complete game.
We just sent everyone who backed at All PDFs or higher the full playtesting copy of the Creator's Guide (sorry for the multiple emails yesterday and today, I goofed --Amit). You'll find two more chapters were added from last week:
The character evolution chapter, which includes Moments of Evolution and three new themebooks: Sidekick, Space, and Mecha -- yes, the game now includes rules for creating and using mechas in City-scale fights!
The adventure creation chapter, which walks you through creating your own Justice Knights, adventure storyboards, and Challenges, including 10 new Challenges you can use in any game.
Early next week I'll be tackling the pregen characters, and we have already started getting things in motion for the upcoming print run. More on that in the coming updates.

We're just about making the deadline for our bi-weekly update, and we have some awesome news. We have just sent the following files to backers:

To those who backed at All PDFs and above, the playtest copy of the Creators Guide! This PDF contains all the finalized rules for creating your series, House, and QUEERZ! characters. Two smaller chapters - Character Growth and Adventure Creation - have been omitted because I still have to finish editing them. Please be aware that this playtest copy has still not been proofread or sensitivity-read, so if you encounter any issues please reach out to us and let us know.

As promised, we are switching to a bi-weekly update in preparation of the upcoming digital release, print run, and shipping of QUEERZ! RPG.
Last week, I completed my final touch-ups of the Adventure Anthology as well as two other Justice Knight PDFs, and our dear graphic designer should be wrapping up the layout for these items by end of this week. So, sometime in the next week or so, we will send out these new files to everyone who pledged at All PDFs, Core Box, Adventure Box, or Fabulous Box levels. Included are:

Next, I will be focusing on finishing the edits on the Creator's Guide, which will allow you to create your own House, characters, and adventures for QUEERZ! RPG. This is the last book to review before going to print.
On other news, the production of plushies and pins is finally underway. This leaves only the regular QUEERZ! dice to be manufactured before going to print, and these are currently waiting for an inventory request from our partners to be finalized. We'll keep you posted.

Almost There + Some Explanations

Hi super-powered color-comboed heroes,
This is a short and much overdue update to let you know how we're doing with the development and manufacturing of the game. As of a few days ago, QUEERZ! RPG is over 6 months late, and we're achingly aware of this fact. Luckily, the end is in sight, and we hope to have the game in everyone's hands this summer.
Writing, editing, sensitivity reading, proofreading, art, and even most of the layout are done. This game is a colorful blast of rainbow powers and queer culture, and we couldn't be more proud of it! By now, most of the team members and writers involved in the project have long completed their work, and those who have not, namely graphic designers and printers, are ready to roll as soon as we give the signal. Currently, the main bottleneck has been and remains my (Amit) reading and refining of the game content to the quality level that I expect of our games, which takes time.
In the past few months, however, I haven't been able to focus on this task as much as I would have liked to and should have. I usually have a lot on my plate professionally, but 2023, while it has been very kind to me in most aspects so far, has provided its (un)healthy share of disruptions on the personal level as well. While minor, things like family issues, disruptions in my personal workspace, and turmoil in my homeland while I was visiting have kept me away from my work, physically, mentally, or effectively. I apologize to you all for not sharing this earlier.
Right now, however, I am back at my Bostondeskin full force and my first priority is to get QUEERZ! to print. I hope that with this renewed focus, I can complete my review and refinement of the game within a few weeks, and then go to print. I can promise you, however, that we'll keep a tighter update schedule from here on out.
Thank you for reading and for your continued patience. This game-making vocation is our Runway, so I and everyone in the SoO team are very grateful that you liked QUEERZ! enough to help us make it a reality. It's coming soon, and in the meantime, enjoy this beautiful game art from ISA.

Playtest files were updated on DriveThruRPG!
We're making good progress with layout of the QUEERZ! books. Full-spread copies of the laid out Player's Guide and MC Guide were uploaded to DriveThruRPG a couple of days ago and automatic update emails were sent to backers and late pledges (but let us know if you didn't receive those).
We are waiting for a couple more art pieces from Isago and there still might be small alterations and corrections in the text between these copies and the final print files for the books, but basically, the Player's Guide and MC Guide are 98% done!

What's Cooking in the QUEERZ! Kitchen?
After the Local Legends campaign launches today, Amit will be back to QUEERZ! at full capacity to greenlight the Creator's Guide for layout. Our pregen writers have already written their characters for QUEERZ! Silver, Gold, Fucshia, and Indigo -- and they're awesome -- so as soon as the Creator's Guide is greenlit, the characters will also be quickly edited and sent to layout.
The Adventure Anthology is already undergoing layout and will also be updated soon in your DriveThruRPG library. We're excited to share it with you!
With files quickly becoming print ready, we're in touch with the printer to start readying the print run for QUEERZ!
The same is true for all of the QUEERZ! merch -- the premium Q-Factor Dice are already done, with the standard QUEERZ! dice, plushies, and pins starting manufacturing in the next few weeks.
