We have a short update for you today.
Print progress on target for November fulfillment!
As we stated on our last update, things are moving well on the print and production front so we're still on target for a November 2023 fulfillment of all QUEERZ! boxes, books, and other goodies.
We are waiting for some samples to arrive before we can confirm more accurate dates for shipping worldwide. At that time, we'll hopefully also be able to share some really juicy pics from the finalized (or near finalized) books and boxes!
We're expecting to issue an update for that in the next few weeks.
Last 48 hours to support Sam Kusek's 3 minutes TTRPG!
Sam Kusek of Cave of Monsters Games and writer of the QUEERZ! Adventure 'Mirror, Mirror' from the Adventure Anthology has a new game out on Kickstarter -- 3 minutes, an Ultraman inspired TTRPG.
In 3 minutes players act as members of elite units called Patrols who are tasked with defending earth against the menace of spacefaring giant aliens known as EIJI. The player characters can battle and defeat these extraterrestrial threats by bonding with giant benevolent Guardians, becoming their Hosts.
The game uses a standard deck of playing cards and is designed in a way that allows for fast and easy setup and gameplay.
If you enjoy media like Ultraman, Mirrorman, and Spectreman, you would want to pick this game up! The Kickstarter campaign also features some of Cave of Monsters other games that you might want to try, including -- Henshin!,a Sentai RPG and Rider Konchu, a Kamen Rider inspired RPG.
Print Run Underway!

Hi there supertronic colorful warrior teams!
This is a quick update to simply check in and let you know that work on the QUEERZ! print run is underway. While the vast majority of extras (dice, plushies, pins, etc.) have been ready for a while now, we have lots of books, accessories, and boxes to make, and our trusty manufacturers and graphic designers are on it! We'll keep you posted on any updates but the process usually takes about 3 months door-to-door, so we expect to ship in late October or early November 2023, barring any special delays.
Also, we wanted to thank this beautiful community for being so awesome about the late shipping payment. We appreciate that thanks to you the late collection of shipping fees went smoothly, and we are now all set to deliver the game boxes when they are ready!

Things are moving along! We have so far released the Player Guide, MC Guide, and Creator Guide, and today we sent out the Adventure Anthology and Character Folios!
For those who have pledge for All PDFs or higher, get ready to play original QUEERZ! characters Tommy Finland, Carol Butch and CK GoGo, as well as the new team additions of Nina Rosado (created by Brandy Rose), Rhianna Rogers (created by Alison Cybe), Limina (created by Jabari Weathers), and DJ Cal Li (created by Sen-Foong Lim)!
IMPORTANT! CHARGING FOR SHIPPING & ADD-ONS
As we are getting ready to print, there is still the matter of charging yourcredit cards for shipping and add-ons. If you recall, we did not charge credit cards for shipping or add-ons when the pledge manager surveys were sent out -- this was postponed to the time of printing, which has finally come!
HOW TO SEE IF YOUR CARD WILL BE CHARGED:
Please log into your survey and review whether you have any remaining shipping or add-on fees to pay:
If your survey is fully paid (e.g., if you bought only digital products or if you already paid for shipping or add-ons with PayPal), there is nothing more you need to do.
If there is still an amount to pay on your BackerKit survey, we will charge this amount next Wednesday, July 19th.
Please note that if for any reason we cannot collect the fees for shipping and add-ons, we won't be able to ship your items to you. If you have any issues, please reach out to us ASAP at [email protected] or here on Kickstarter messages, as we may be able to help. Even if you can't pay for shipping/add-ons right now, reach out and let us know that you would still like to get your items at some point -- otherwise your items may not be printed.
As a side note, we do understand that having to add money to a project that you backed over a year and half ago can be an 'oh!' moment. Son of Oak no longer uses late shipping payment in our Kickstarters. However, this was the case in QUEERZ! TTRPG, and these fees must be charged in order to supply the rewards you pledged for.
Please note: There is no need to update your address YET. We will ask for that closer to the shipping date.

Pyrkon 2023 + Production Update

Hi there glitter bombs and leather-bound fighters!
The production team is taking a little longer to wrap up the digital files, but are on track with starting print by the end of the month. In the meantime, I can tell you about the trip I (Amit) just had to Poland's premiere games, fantasy, and anime convention - Pyrkon.
Poland is a country that has a complicated relationship with LGBTQ+ at best. In vast areas of the country, just being queer in public is a crime. In other parts, pride flags are hanging in the streets. Young people in general are progressive and support rights for the LGBTQ+ community, but the government is conservative and actively promotes anti-LGBTQ+ laws.
Based in the more progressive city of Poznan, Pyrkon itself as a convention celebrates queerness, which is not surprising given the closeness and overlap of the roleplaying, geek, and queer communities. Queer cosplayers are everywhere and the atmosphere is open and accepting. The staff were super welcoming to me as a creator and a gay person as well as to all queer guests and con-goers.
Shush, RPG daddy is talking
As a guest of the con, I got to participate in several panels about storytelling and role-playing games, and hang out with friends and acquaintances from other RPG publishers like Magpie Games, Modiphius, Chaosium, and Game Machinery. The best part: I got to geek out about my runway -- which is making games, if anyone had any doubt -- and give a few talks about Cinematic RPGs and tag mechanics. Absolutely Fabulous made the audience laugh when I introduced her tag "Shush, mother is talking" -- what other game could support that kind of ability right out of the box?!
The final treat was meeting with the QUEERZ! graphic designer, Paweł Ciesielski, in person for the first time, for a night out in Krakow. I just hope he's recuperated by now because it's time to wrap up these books!
That's a brief summary of my impressions. It's back to the US now, and back at my desk on Monday, where I'll be starting the final review of QUEERZ! before we go to print!

HAPPY PRIDE EVERYONE!
How are you all celebrating?!
Well, if love and freedom isn't enough, here's another reason to celebrate:
QUEERZ! RPG is getting ready to go to print.
We have completed reviewing all the items we need, and are going to spend the next week doing final touch-ups, layouts, and working on the four QUEERZ! boxes. Then, by the end of the month, we hope to already have started the print run. This means you can expect QUEERZ! boxes in your hands in September 2023 (whether beginning or end of month will be determined by the speed of print and freight).
Digital Pride Onslaught Attack!
This Pride month we will also send you all the final digital products. For now, here are the immediate releases of the next two weeks:
Yesterday we sent the laid out Creator Guide PDF to backers who pledged for All PDFs and above. It still has a lot of touch ups to go through, but you can already flick through an approximation of the final book!
Next, we will send to eligible backers the entire character pregen roster: Harvey M, Twinkie Pink, Absolutely Fabulous, Teddy Woof, Wili, Carol Butch, Tommy Finland, CK Gogo, Nina Rosado, DJ Cal Li, Limina, and Rhianna Rogers!
